Year 5 and 6 Cross Country event

Lesson: Physical education

A fantastic performance from our Year 5 and 6 children last night at Abbey playing fields in Burscough.  They all took part successfully in a mile long cross country event which was ran on extremely challenging terrain.  All our children gave it their best shot and perseverd to the end and they should all be extremely proud of themselves.  A special mention to Sami who came 3rd in the boys Y6 race against some stiff competition.  His final sprint was something to behold!  Utterly amazing!  Also a shout out to Sami's Dad who acted as the 'hare' throughout the event - I was exhausted just watching - well done!
