Reflection Area
We recognise that school life can be extremely busy and that it is important for children to have time and space to reflect on their own beliefs and values.
Here at Crawford, each classroom has its own reflection area. This is a safe space where the children can come to reflect, ponder and think. We have chosen comfy, cosy corners of the classroom with cushions, twinkly lights and a selection of books that the children can read to develop their own spirituality and provide an area of calm within the busy school day.
In Class 2, the children came up with the idea of a 'worry box' which they wanted to keep in the reflection area. This gives the children the opportunity to write down any worries they may have, no matter how small. They discussed how all worries can be worked through when talked about with a trusted person.
