School Tour
Welcome to Crawford - Our Entrance Hall
The school was built in 1913 and still retains much of its original character giving it the feeling of being a truly authentic rural village school.
Main Corridor
The main corridor is the central hub of the school. With a lantern skylight, the area is bright and welcoming whilst also functioning as additional classroom space for groups of children.
Class 1
Class 1 is the base for our Nursery and Reception children. The children have daily access to an indoor and outdoor environment that is set up in discrete areas of learning with planned continuous provision. This allows the children to take part in activities that build on and extend their interests and develop their intellect and physical, social and emotional abilities.
Class 2
Class 2 is home to our pupils in Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3. There are discrete areas within the classroom for continuous provision, thus easing the transition for our Y1 pupils as they move up from Reception.
Class 3
Years 4, 5 and 6 are based in Class 3. The classroom has 'zoned' areas, including a maths zone, allowing the children to work in small groups. Class 3 pupils also access additional space in our main corridor to ensure personalised learning takes place.
Our Outdoor Environment
The school is set in a beautiful rural location surrounded by fields and countryside. We have an extensive playing field, large playground area, timber activity trail, sensory garden and our own vegetable plot complete with resident chickens, Mabel, Caramel and Ginger!
