WW2 Class Three
We have had a great morning in Class 3 celebrating our World War 2 day. We looked into the work of Alan Turing and the importance of code breaking in the war. We had a go at breaking our own codes before also looking into morse code. Then, we put our drawing skills to the test to create a detailed drawing of the Spitfire Mark 1. Well done everyone!
The WW2 themed fun continued in the afternoon as pupils learnt about the different types of shelters people used during bombings and listened to recordings of the blitz in order to create poems from inside their chosen shelter during an air raid. We also learnt about rationing and made an eggless chocolate sponge. We finished the afternoon with a Blooket quiz all about the Blitz.
