We really enjoyed exploring a text about 'The Battle of Hastings' this week in our reading session. We discovered that William the Conqueror commissioned a tapestry to celebrate his victory.  Having watched an animation of 'The Bayeux Tapestry' we even had children creating their own tapestry made from orange peel! What facts can your child remember about the events of 1066?
