Remembrance Day
As the world prepares to mark the end of the Great War, our pupils here at Crawford Village have made their own contribution, creating a magnificent poppy display at the front of our school, complete with names and biographies of fallen heroes who lived in our village before being tragically killed during WWI.
We all dressed up for the day and have taken part in lots of exciting activities to help us remember the fallen heroes from all fields of conflict.
At 11.00 we ventured outside into the cold and held a minute's silence as a mark of respect. One of Year 6 pupils gave a marvellous rendition of the Last Post on his cornet to begin the silence whilst one of our former pupils marked the end of the silence by playing The Reveille - what a truly poignant moment and so fitting for such a momentous occasion.
