Today class one celebrated Chinese New Year. This year’s animal is ‘The year of the Ox’ The children were invited to colour in pictures and write the letters of their name in the Chinese alphabet. For our role play we recreated a Chinese buffet, we had lots of fun practising our fine motor skills when using chopsticks. For snack we sampled a variety of Chinese delicacies which were delicious. We also created oriental Chinese fans and ended our celebrarations by re-enacting a Chinese dragon dance.
