Rock and Roll!

This half term Class 2 have had the chance to observe and make detailed drawings of fossils using the medium of 'biro'. We also studied the patterns fossils can make. After completing our drawings, we decided to experiment with various materials and techniques to create our own printing blocks. We then discussed different ways we could use our prints, so the children then decided to make their very own personalised wrapping paper.

During this topic we have been lucky enough to look at the 'real thing' as many children have brought in parents/grandparents treasured fossil collections, and we would like to say thank you for this. Hopefully they have returned home in one piece.
