Dungeons & Dragons!

Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Class 1 Year: 2020 - 2021

This half term, our class have been learning all about the medieval times. We have been looking at castles and naming the different parts of a castle, finding it out why it is built that way and why people wanted to invalid. The children have loved learning about knights and their armour and how different it is now compared to what it was like 100s of years ago.

Our Medieval day has to be our best curriculum enhancement yet! The staff have enjoyed it just as much as the children. The children have enjoyed;

making castles out of clay

designing their own armour and the importance of it

creating some fabulous writing about knights

Class 1 enjoyed lots of exciting medieval day activities too. We made medieval soul cakes, had a jousting match with the horses they made, we performed a medieval dance and enjoyed listening to music, we also had a feast fit for a king!

we hope you enjoy the photographs.
