Do all types of chocolate melt at the same rate and temperature?

Class 3 were busy today with their digital thermometers, digital scales and stopwatches to try to find out which type of chocolate - dark, milk or white - melts the quickest. As part of their " Solids, Liquids and Gases" topic, they were able to observe that some materials change state when they are heated or cooled, and measure the temperature at which this happens in degrees Celsius (°C). With a focus on fair testing and accurate science measurements, the children rose to the task - as you can see by the concentration on their faces!
