Lesson: Understanding the World

Class: Class 1 Year: 2019 - 2020

Class 1 have had a fantastic time celebrating Chinese New Year. The children learned about Chinese traditions and why this year it was called the year of the Rat. The children reinacted the story of The Great Race witting our continuous provision. They each were a character and acted out how that animal would cross the river. We have made lots of craft activities linked to our theme and we all tasted Chinese food and danced to Chinese music using scarfs.
