Football Champions
Year 6 took part in a football tournament at Edge Hill University today, playing against five other teams.
We lost our opening fixture 7-2, in quite a chaotic game. Having never played in a cage before we struggled with the continuous play and conceded 5 rebounds.
We were down, but not out.
After a rousing speech from Mr Brearley, added to by Zac Robinson, we were ready to bounce back.
We won our next three games, 3-0, 4-1 and 2-1!
We finished joint top on the league with one game left to play, but due to time constraints, the other teams had to leave and it couldn't be completed.
We had such an amazing time and are very proud of what we achieved, especially after the first match.
Well done to all the other schools.
This was our final fixture as a year group and what a way to finish.
Champions!
